Every month the Daily Sweet's has a craft challenge which we all can either participate in or "ooo" and "ahhhh" over the efforts of other sweeets here .  It has been so much fun and a way of stretching ourselves and our abilities.  Some challenges suit us and some don't  - Like February's crochet challenge really didn't suit me.  T'was a laughable feat.

But March had us making paper flowers and exploring the world of photography.  March was quite a busy month for me so I didn't get to the flowers which is unfortunate, however I did manage to explore my garden with camera handy and came up with these quite lovely art photos...

Well, I am so chuffed at the moment because suddenly my stepdaughter, who, when she was 4 demanded that her hair be shaved off completely and for 6 months after was mistaken for a little boy, has willingly decided to become my model for Earlybird!  Here are some beautiful pics of her making my resin jewellery look flipping marvellous...

Rising Up

My fascination with hot air balloons has taken a turn for the worst...or the better, depending on your love/indifference/dislike to hot air balloons (how could anyone dislike a hot air balloon?).  I'm intending to use them as a bit of inspiration for my fine silver pendants and earrings and therefore found some most lovely handmade hot air balloon finds on Etsy.

Today I made Muesli...

Thanks to the lovely peeps at Frankie magazine for providing the awesome recipe.  It is crunchy and yummy and I'm afraid I might end up having it for lunch as well as breakfast.  However there was a slight mishap...I sent my Mr to the grocery shop to buy the ingredients., and the pumpkin seeds he picked out were salted.  So now the mixture tastes a little bit like salted nuts. Still doesn't stop me from eating it straight from the container.

Back to Basics

This weekend saw myself and the family heading off to a fairly local - within 1 1/2 hour drive - camping ground at the beautiful Kylie's Beach.  W.e did not do much...which was the whole aim of the trip, however there was some swimming, sunbaking and wildlife spotting that took place

I also indulged in one of my favourite pastimes, wandering down the beach looking for curious finds.  On this particular day the beach was awash with sea urchins...so I managed to snavel a few (and left some for other beach combers).
