Off to Market!!

What a fabulous day at the Port Macquarie Foreshore Market today!  Weather was beautiful, the water was blue and the customers were more than awesome.  Am exhausted and in need of some relaxation, but before that, I thought I'd share a pic of Chris (Mr Earlybird) tending to our stall.

The lovely Holly Anne from Pretty Betty is not only a good friend of mine but also incredibly talented.  I love the decadent vintage feel of her jewellery.  Her eye for detail and beautiful photos makes her Etsy shop a treasure to browse through.  Pay her a visit! 

New Baby = More time to Blog...

Bahahahahaha!  Thought I would begin with a bit of humour.  After all it's amazing how many comments I receive from people who don't have children who think that now I have baby James and no longer working the 9-5 automatically means I have time to paint my toe nails and read magazines.  In truth, the Frankie mag I bought last week is still sitting unopened on the coffee table.  I look at it longingly and then the washing machine sings it's familiar tune. 

So rather than crying "time poor!!" I have decided to get back to the world of blogging.  Geez I hope I can deliver!

My Creative Space - Clearing the Decks for PMC

PMC - Precious Metal Clay - is a craft that I have found only recently...well less than 12 months anyway.  Yesterday I cleared the workbench to make room for tools, mats, ring mandrels and most importantly tightly sealed PMC packets.  Here are some of the works in progress and I should have the finished products to show off sometime this week.

Scenes from the Market

Last weekend Port Macquarie Artist Market combined with Port Macquarie Growers Market to bring together a lushious mix of craft, art and locally grown produce.  I was in heaven, and even though I was busy with the Earlybird stall it still didn't stop me from browsing and buying.  Here are some scenes...

Rain no more!!

In my little corner of the world it has not ceased to rain for the past 2 weeks. Well, perhaps it has stopped momentarily in order to gather up steam for the next down pour but more often than not, if I look out the window I have met with grey skies, green green grass and puddles.  But today, gloriously, blue skies broke through the clouds and we have sunshine.  So here's a few handmade lovelies I picked to celebrate...

New Path Taken

This pic here was taken at Warwick Castle in the UK last October.  In it is my (blonde at the back), Jake and Maddy, my adorable stepkids and Chris, my husband and best friend.  This post is actually suppose to be just about Chris however I struggled to find a photo of him where he's not pulling a face or a pose so this one seemed acceptable. 

So, to get right down to it, my husband has been studying to be a teacher for about 4 years.  In a previous life he was a dancer and an actor, in fact he has a degree in Performance Arts.  He has also been a retail manager which filled him with joy every day (not really).  But he decided to become a teacher and after 4 years of battling the books and the uni assignments he finally got there!  So I just wanted to put this little tribute and RARRRRRR!!!! out there in blog land for my husband.  Proud of you darling!

My Unruly Garden

Every month the Daily Sweet's has a craft challenge which we all can either participate in or "ooo" and "ahhhh" over the efforts of other sweeets here .  It has been so much fun and a way of stretching ourselves and our abilities.  Some challenges suit us and some don't  - Like February's crochet challenge really didn't suit me.  T'was a laughable feat.

But March had us making paper flowers and exploring the world of photography.  March was quite a busy month for me so I didn't get to the flowers which is unfortunate, however I did manage to explore my garden with camera handy and came up with these quite lovely art photos...
